The neo-rainbow racket in New Zealand explained in the language of easy money.

Journalist and writer, Yvonne van Dongen, has written what is hoped to be the first of several deep dives into the racketeering [my word] by some registered charitable organisations here in New Zealand. Unsurprisingly, the neo-rainbow racket features significantly.

Yvonne’s explosive eposé looks at the seemingly easy-money rort by neo-rainbow ‘charities’ InsideOUTRainbow Youth, and Rainbow Tick¹, which are the names that crop up most regularly whenever the rainbow subject arises anywhere.

Although these organisations still trot out the ‘vulnerable individuals’ trope as their raison d’être, I suspect that the biggest vulnerability they feel now is any possible reduction in the flow of money into their coffers.
